LILI WHITE received a B.F.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and graduated from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. She has exhibited at Philadelphia galleries, universities and cultural centers, including solo shows at the Villanova Gallery and Race Gallery and group shows. She served as a steering committee member and Public Relations Chairperson for THE ARMORY SHOW.
When the computer transformed movie making, her films became layered atmospheric collages. Her practice is empirical, sometimes using stylized gestures used as a mode of ritualistic format and screen performance. Her films serve are “impressions” that regard relationships of power and repression. She has served on the Board of Millennium Film Workshop since 2012.
