BLAIR NEAL is an artist and creative technologist currently living in Brooklyn, NY and focuses on live visual performance, unusual display technology and interactive installations. He creates work that engages the breakdown between the “truth” of data and the human experience of reality. He does this by exploring unusual display technology, and visual performances that pick apart the traditional relationships of sound and image. Originally a musician, he combines his music background with his visual art, working in performance, programming, shooting/editing, DIY electronics, alternative visualization of images, and everything in between. He attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Electronic Media, Arts and Communication (2008) and Electronic Arts (2010) respectively.
